Aircrack-ng rc1 with SSE2 Print E-mail
aircrack-ngA version of the suite has gone out aircrack-ng which allows us to use SSE2, on having used this technology the search is realized to many major speed.

It is a very good improvement, since checks/tests the double of keys per second that the previous version.

Besides this they have inserted a new function, the -K, that what it does is to force the aircrack-ng rc1 to use the ancient version of the aircrack.

If we use wifiway, it will be very simple to install it since it is included in wifipacket (manager of packages), simply it would be to execute:

wifipacket update
wifipacket install airoscript_chinitiw
wifipacket install aircrack-ng-wpa-sse2

An explanation more detailed of what is the SSE2 according to Wikipedia:

SSE2, Streaming SIMD Extensions 2, is one of the IA-32 SIMD (Single Instruction, Multiple Data) instruction sets. SSE2 was first introduced by Intel with the initial version of the Pentium 4 in 2001. It extends the earlier SSE instruction set, and is intended to fully supplant MMX. Intel extended SSE2 to create SSE3 in 2004. SSE2 added 144 new instructions to SSE, which has 70 instructions. Rival chip-maker AMD added support for SSE2 with the introduction of their Opteron and Athlon 64 ranges of AMD64 64-bit CPUs in 2003.

And from the web of aircrack-ng can extract that:

WPA cracking can be sped up significantly by reintroducing the mmx code from older versions and porting it to SSE2. I've been using it with genpmk (cowpatty), see the attached file for the optimized code. Four passphrases are hashed for each call to calc_4pmk.

And if this everything was small here we have a video (realized for e-breaker ) of the comparisons between cowpatty, genpmk, aircrack-ng 0.9.3 and aircrack-ng rc1 SSE2
